On Thursday evening (November 21st) the well-known short verse poet, important figure in the Dutch cabaret scene and former ‘#Vroege #Vogels’ presenter Ivo de Wijs shared an evening with the public in the library in #Nieuwegein, an event part of the national reading campaign #NederlandLeest. He discussed the role of #nature in #literature and the sex appeal of #sustainability in the media, while remembering anecdotes and reading a bit of his own work. An evening of nonstop jokes, personal moments and memories shared with well known personalities as #JanWolkers, #DrsP and a delighted public who laughed all the way.
Special mention deserve the full treat our senses got that evening: besides the interesting chat from #IvodeWijs there were the tasty and #sustainable bites while we could listen and dance to country classics “in je moerstaal” by #HenkWilmans....yeeeehaaa!
