Liefde in tijden van Corona
Nederland blijft tot eind deze maand in een 'intelligente lockdown'. Het is een bijzondere situatie, maar ook een geweldig verhaal om te delen in de toekomst. En wat is nu een betere manier om dat te doen dan met een paar mooie foto’s!
Geïnspireerd door een project in de VS en heb ik besloten GRATIS portretten maken. Van gezinnen, maar ook bijvoorbeeld van ziekenhuispersoneel of andere groepen. Iedereen heeft, nadat deze verschrikkelijke gezondheidscrisis straks achter de rug is, dezelfde ervaring: we hebben ons hier samen doorheen geslagen!
HOE WERKT HET?
1. Neem contact met mij op (wildfree.photo@gmail.com) om een datum en tijd af te spreken waarop ik bij je langs kom. Meestal is dat voor mij het beste na 17:00 uur of in het weekend (doordeweek ben ik overdag druk met het thuisonderwijs van mijn twee kinderen).
2. Op de dag van de afspraak: je weet wanneer ik kom, dus ga dan (samen met degenen met wie je op de foto wilt) naar buiten. Bij de voordeur, achter het raam of in de tuin. Ik maak een paar foto’s en vertrek weer. Rekening houdend met de regels rondom social distancing heb ik geen fysiek contact en zal ik niemand aanraken tijdens de sessies. Ik hou een veilige afstand.
3. Na een paar dagen ontvang je de digitale foto’s per e-mail.
In ruil voor de foto's vraag ik je om een donatie te doen aan een goed doel naar keuze. Alle beetjes helpen!
(De foto’s kunnen mogelijk gebruikt worden voor publicatie of in tentoonstellingen. Ook worden de beelden mogelijk gebruikt in social media, tenzij je aangeeft dat liever niet te willen.)

They are very concerned on how the COVID-19 pandemic will affect people in countries with already fragile health systems or in precarious environments, such as the homeless, refugees living in camps or conflict-affected populations.

A migrant myself I can’t help but relate with the outstanding work this organisation is doing. Now that the US-Mexico border migrant shelters brace for Coronavirus, help is particularly needed. Under Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy, more than 60,000 asylum seekers have been forced to stay on the Mexican side of the border as they wait for their requests to be heard. As the number of COVID-19 cases rises in Mexico, experts have voiced concerns about the spread of the virus in the crowded migrant encampments that dot cities across northern Mexico, where healthcare is patchy and life-saving ventilators are few and far between.
